This jacket is very warm. I like the removable faux fur option. I have received compliments on this jacket every time I have worn it. It is definitely a favorite when the winds are blowing.The reviews said to order a size up from what you usually order. This is true. I ordered a large and it fits perfect, I’m usually a medium in most clothes. The sleeves are almost too short, so I’m very happy I ordered the large. The coat is very warm and long, definitely helped keep my legs warm. A few downfalls, the jacket is not waterproof. I walked in the rain and it soaked through to my under clothes. Also, the zipper can get stuck since it zips both from the top and bottom. I do recommend this coat as long as you don’t plan to go on a walk in the rain.My new coat is a great Plum color, and the goose down is both warm and lightweight. And the long length is PERFECT for long walks in the woods during below zero temps. The only thing is: the hood came with the fur detached. I'm having trouble making it fit onto the correct buttons. Not sure how I'm going to make this work, because I really liked the fur trimmed collar. Otherwise, great buy!My son's girlfriend is 5'4" and weighs 125 and is muscular. I ordered her the medium and she needed a small. So it does run true to size. This coat is definitely American sizing. The reason I only gave 4 stars is because I ordered myself a down coat 3 years ago and it is perfect. This one did not have as much down fill as the other. She absolutely loves the coat though.Bought this for my wife for vacation in below 0 windchill temperatures and it did well. Only down side was when it got a little wet it smelled like a wet dog. When it dried out the smell went away.Love this coat! It is VERY WARM so only suitable for the really cold days of winter or if you go out with a skimpy outfit on and can stay super cozy in this coat :-)This coat arrived just in time for our WNY winters. The color is lovely and the coat has nice detailing (double-breasted buttons - decorative only; matching buttons on sleeves). Despite the description of a “fur collar” this is faux (fake) fur. One of the loops on the fur trim was sewn so small that I had to safety pin it to the hood.The coat feels warm, yet light weight. Nice sturdy double-ended zipper, zipper side pockets, one inside breast pocket. The back is ruched to give the coat a little shape.The long length makes this ideal for keeping warm if wearing a dress or skirt, especially here in WNY where a dress coat just isn’t enough protection from the lake effect winds.The sleeves are a bit snug so wearing a bulky sweater is impossible.I am 5’4” and just under 150lbs. The medium is just about the perfect fit as long as I don’t wear thick sweaters.All in all, I am happy with the purchase.The jacket looks good when it’s on your body . The fur on the hat is soft, fluffy and nice. However, the fabric is ok. The outside fabric is quite rough, and the fabric in the inside part of the jacket is thin, rough and tinkled.
