Typically I post photos with my reviews but this was a case of Cannot Bear To Keep Looking At It and so I shoved it back into the ridiculously tiny bag it came in. A few weeks back I ordered and reviewed a housecoat/kimono thingy for my husband to rock (at home) since home is the only place many of us are during the summer of 2020. I mentioned in the review that it was the most flammable and cheap looking garment I’d seen in recent memory—so don’t smoke or use the oven while wearing it. Well, this skirt has tied that record because holy moley, it is a shockingly cheapo fabric!! So slick. So wrong. Gads. I ordered in black in 3X plus… but it’s about 3X larger than any of the other 3X garments I own. So while I am grateful I was able to feel the thrill of thinking I was skinny again, for like 4 seconds, it is not accurately sized in width or length. I am 5’5” but have a 32’ inseam, I’m very short waisted. So if anything I struggle with skirts and pants not being long enough. Not so here. There is no way this will be a wearable length on anyone under 5’7”. Like another reviewer, I hiked this up to my armpits; if i squinted I could now see what this skirt could have been if it was cut properly. Ohhh, should I reorder it in a much smaller size? Yep, the delusion was strong in me but…dang, I just couldn’t get past the fabric so the fit is irrelevant. I’m a Doc Martens chick, I wear mainly black clothes, my purse strap is covered in electrical tape and I’m just so nauseatingly ‘edgy’. I am not a brand snob and love a bargain. So I am definitely the target audience here. But find yourself a different double front slit skirt because garments of this ilk are an insult to our already crippled environment—in that I imagine many, many people will have to return this.I wear abt a 16-18 in jeans, 5'1" tall. Got this in 3x, bc other skirts from this company in that size worked for me. This was 2-3 sizes too large in the waist and comically too long. With flats or low heels, hiked to under my armpits was the only way this wasn't going to drag. Problem is, hiked up like that makes the awkwardly wide/high double slits about even with my "lady parts". Frontal mooning people is not my thing, so back it goes. Was very see thru even in the black, I suppose on a taller person with leggings under, in the correct size it would be ok? Could maybe also work for a bathing suit cover skirt I guess. See pics for pattern & sheerness reference. The skirt fits great and the material feels great.I ordered the floral...and the one pictured is not what I received. Aside from that, the skirt is very light and flowing and I am still wanting to wear it.Very pretty pattern on material, very soft, flowy, breathable material. I absolutely love this skirt, even at 5'8 it's a little long, but that isn't a big deal. I'd definitely buy another!
