I have purchased two of these skirts in medium. When I received the royal blue one and placed it against the khaki one, I noticed the waist on the khaki one was at least 2 1/2 -3 inches smaller. To my disappointment, after trying them on, I had to send the khaki one back. I couldn’t even zip it up. As for the royal blue, it was actually a bit loose around the waist. I would like to order another one, but I’m just not sure what size to order. My waist measures 28–29 inches so I should be able to fit into a medium, but I find that’s not always the case. I would recommend the skirt because when it fits it looks great. You might just have to order two sizes and send one back.Very comfortable skirt, full and not at all see-through (I got the brown and the black), cool for summer and smart enough for office wear. I did remove the ties for the bow, as this seemed too much for the office, but you could wear it with a dressy top and keep the bow and it would look lovely for a special occasion. I especially love that it fits closely at the waist and has plenty of room in the hips, as being pear-shaped with a small waist and big derrière I have difficulty finding skirts that fit properly.I ordered solid brown in 2 sizes and brick red in 2 sizes. I ended up returning the brick red ones because it was just a little too bright orange-y in person for my tastes. I returned one of the browns too because of sizing. All the skirts are nice enough quality, but my one gripe is the zippers. It bugs me that the most the zippers have as "stoppers" is maybe a bit of clear glue. It isn't a good glob of it either — sometimes zippers can be stubborn, and with enough force on a stubborn zipper, I think you could zip right over it because it's pretty small. One of the brick red skirts actually had a little clip in back (held the skirt together even with the zipper down) and I wish that was on all of them for convenience. Kind of weird that only one of them had it — you'd think it'd be a constant either across colors or across sizes, but that wasn't the case. The skirts are very wrinkly when they arrive, but using a steamer worked fine for me. You could also probably hang-dry them after the washer and they'd be good too. Tying a nice bow isn't too hard either, I just looked up how to tie one for clothes and I leave it in place until I need to wash it.I'd like to buy more, but there's a huge price variation between the skirts and sizes. I think they're a great deal if you can get a version that is $20-30. I don't know if they're worth it past that. I'm waiting for the appropriate size for certain colors (black, mint, maybe the blues or pink) to drop to a more reasonable price before I consider buying more. Like I said, the skirts are nice but the zipper kind of concerns me for how they'll hold up and I don't feel good about dropping $42 on something that is $22 in a different color or size, especially not if the zippers are doomed to fall apart eventually.Update 10/1/22: My zipper is still functional although it still makes me a little wary. Don't wear this skirt if you have any stubble and aren't wearing some sort of slip or tights underneath. I think longer leg hair would be ok, but the material on the inside of the skirt catches and pulls VICIOUSLY at even the smallest amount of stubble. My legs end up looking super irritated (bright red splotches at every single follicle) at the end of the day. It makes it quite uncomfortable and also causes copious amounts of pilling inside the skirt (the latter isn't really a big deal since it isn't visible on the outside, but it's still a little annoying given the normal $40 price tag). This is frustrating because the length would be great for "lazy days" but I don't usually like to wear tights or a slip underneath, especially on hot days (the skirt is comfortably airy on its own but not with layers). De-pilling is simple with a fabric shaver but I haven't bothered since it's on the inside only. On the first wash or two (hang dry), it pilled a bit on the otuside, especially on the bow ribbons. I used my fabric shaver to remove the pilling and it hasn't really happened since. I wash this skirt pretty sparingly since it doesn't get that dirty between wears — only when there's visible grime, or after maybe 4-5 wears even if it doesn't look dirty or smell.Love this skirt, nice fabric and well made. Runs a bit small. Im their defense, it’s A high waisted skirt, I do tend to have a larger rib cageGood: It looks amazing, and fits a little snug but still fits. Not as flowy as I usually like, but very very close to the right amount honestly.Bad: The fabric is much thinner than expected and wrinkles very easily. I have to steam it EVERY time I wear it or I look disheveled. Be warned! Also, don't stand with the sun behind you if you don't want people to see through it, because it's sheer enough for that to be a concern. Not indoors, but in bright lighting. The next size up would make the skirt too long but the waist in this one was too small.Ordered the skirt for my 12 year old daughter. It fit her perfectly. I normally wear size 2 and it fit me well too. Highly recommend if you are looking for a flowy skirt of marygold color. The medium size is too small. The large is too big. Order 3 sizes up...but only goes to XL. I wear a medium pretty consistently..XL is still too small. Otherwise would have been a great skirt.Esta mas chico de la cintura que lo que mide en fotografia, y tiene agujeros en la costuras… la tela no se ve de buena calidadSo sad. Usually small fits but this is a extra small size not small beware go a size up. Wasted all that money.
