Really cute skirt. But definitely runs small. If you have big hips or butt, keep in mind it will cling towards the top then flare out. I'm returning the large and trying the XL to see it's any better.I'm kind of on the fence about this skirt and wasn't sure whether to go with 3-stars or 4-stars. I like the skirt but it wasn't what I was expecting. As other reviewers have pointed out, the material is kind of strange. It's a rough feeling fabric. The tag reads 96% polyester and 4% spandex. I was expecting more of a T-shirt like fabric. This fabric is more like a "dressier" type rather than casual. Standing in the sun you can easily see the silhouette of your legs through this skirt so I'd recommend a slip. I was a bit surprised at the coloring of the skirt as well. From the pictures and design I was expecting a dark grey colored skirt with a white flowered print. The colors of the skirt kind of vary with the lighting because of the fabric. The skirt is a dark grey but with a mild pinkish cast to it. It's kind of hard to explain. The skirt is grey but the coloring moves toward more of the red side of the spectrum than the blue like most grey's do. Also the flowers have a very mild pinkish tint to them as well. I was going to wear this skirt with a white shirt I had but upon seeing the skirt, it looks better with a pink shirt. I'm short, 4'11 and the skirt falls to my knees as shown in the picture, that's without folding the waist over at all. If you're taller, this skirt will probably be above your knees. I have a 26" waist and the waist of this skirt fit me perfectly and is comfortable. (I ordered the size Small). The waist does have some stretch in it but not much so keep your waist size in mind when deciding on your size. If your waist is any larger than about 28" you'll definately want to go up a size. I don't like anything real tight around my waist and I wouldn't want this any tighter. The hips and stomach area don't have much stretch either. I'm 34-26-34 and the skirt fit my hips and stomach perfect but I wouldn't want it any tighter. I debated on whether to return the skirt but decided to put it in my closet for about a week and forget my expectations and then try it on again. So I put it on this morning with a pink shirt and decided to keep it. I can't say I recommend the skirt, it all depends on what you're looking for. The skirt is a decent quality, a bit on thin side and a rough fabric.I really like this skirt. I have it in both of the patterns and wear them often. The brown and turquoise pattern is especially beautiful. The gray pattern also has shades of pink and light blue; this doesn't really show in the picture. They are lightweight but drape nicely. The fabric is not five-star quality, but they have been a great addition to my wardrobe this summer. I wear them dressed up or down, with pumps or sandals or (my favorite) cowboy boots. I ordered a large and it fits well, even a tiny bit snug in the waist. I usually wear a 10-12. Overall, it's a great price for a nice wardrobe stretching addition.This skirt is really cute. I wanted a foldover waist that hit right above the knee( am 5'10") and these do run small. I am a size 8 and ordered the XL w the intention of rolling it over a little lower than my waist . The waistband folded doesn't hold the skirt up high enough for me, but I think a smaller size would be too snug rolled down lower on my abdomen. So really not the skirts fault, it is billed as a maxi, I am a difficult fit, was hoping to rig it to my tastes. Am keeping it for winter wear w tights, knee high boots and a loose taupe sweater. It's a slinky polyester material, very comfortable. And the gray print is stylish w boots!I am 5'6", 135 lbs at 10 weeks post-partum. I don't like my clothes to fit too tightly, so based on other reviews for this skirt, I selected a size large. The skirt fit well.I returned it because I didn't like the fabric. I was looking for a skirt that was a softer jersey, and this was a rougher man-made material. It was also fairly thin and could have used a slip under it.I am trying to create a staple wardrobe that will last, plus I've gained some weight. The skirt is black with a holdover waist. It is very comfortable, fits well, drapes nicely, and resists wrinkling. The only reason it lost a star was that the fabric is a little rough. It is thick so it is not see through, and I expect that it will hold up well to repeated washings.the skirt is very comfortable and moves freely. I am tall, so it's nice that this skirt actually comes to my knees where it is supposed to, instead of higher. I like the maxi feel since I wear skirts primarily and need to feel comfortable all day without feeling restricted. Definitely will be ordering others!Sturdy fabric considering that it's a slinky knit. I have this in black too, and I really like them. They're easy to dress up or down, and just the right length to wear to work. Plus, the price is hard to beat.
